XtreemOS Summer School welcome reception
The e-Science Centre at STFC is participating in the EU integrated project XtreemOS (www.xtreemos.org), which aims to conceive, build and promote a grid operating-system based on Linux to underpin future computing grids. XtreemOS will allow secure, reliable, and efficient sharing of computer resources within the framework of virtual organisations.
As part of our XtreemOS activities, STFC e-Science is organising the XtreemOS Summer School at Wadham College, Oxford http://www.xtreemos.org/xtreemos-events/xtreemos-summer-school-2009/. I would like to invite you to the welcome reception for the Summer School to be held at Wadham College on Tuesday September 8th from 6:30 pm till 8:00pm, which we are holding in conjunction with the Advanced Distributed Services Summer School http://www.iceage-eu.org/adsss09/index.cfm which is also being held at that time. This would represent an opportunity to meet some of the leading contributors to Grid technology development in the UK and Europe and find out more about these projects.
Yours sincerely,
Neil Geddes
Director, e-Science
