Space Workshop (Harwell Oxford Campus, International Space Innovation Centre (ISIC), from Nov 09, 2011 12:00 PM to Nov 09, 2011 04:00 PM)

This workshop aims to explore the current and future opportunities to develop e‐Research collaborations which will be of relevance to the ISIC and the ESA centre at Harwell. Visualisation of EO data, Cloud computing for managing disseminating and processing EO data, and providing EO data Services are all areas of potential interest and collaborations.

Workshop on Smart Spaces (Bournemouth University, from Apr 18, 2012 09:00 AM to Apr 18, 2012 05:00 PM)

Well-designed spaces can enhance the quality and effectiveness of our communications, especially when those spaces are supported by smart systems. This workshop is the third in a series that examines the potential impact of technology on communication in spaces ascribed as smart. The first two workshops were run as an e-Science Institute Theme, and focused mainly on the productive exploitation of smart meeting spaces. The third workshop is under the auspices of e-Research South, and will explore smarter systems for managing research, and research meetings in particular.
